The health benefits of different types of exercise cannot be understated. Studies show that aerobic, anaerobic, and mixed interval training, all benefit cardiovascular and metabolic health.
Have you been at a doctor’s visit and been told that you need to get more exercise? The majority of us have all heard our doctors recommend this to us. And in the majority of situations, it is probably true. We do need to get more exercise. BUT…What. Does. That. Mean?!
How can your doctor expect specific improvements in health if the recommendations you receive from the doctor are not, in fact, specific?
At Summon Health, your doctor will provide specific physical activity recommendations related to type, frequency, intensity, and duration. We lead by example (by practicing what we preach) and follow recommendations put forth in physical activity guidelines published by various medical societies. Ambiguity will not be part of the prescription.
